Cultural identity is the idea of myself, a constantly evolving concept that is rooted in my nation or nations, in the way I love and fight, in the land that makes me feel at home, in my medicine, in my dress, the smell of my food, my spirituality and the story we weave.
This is Voces Vivas, where voices are free,
Telling our stories, defining me.

Celebrating Culture

We enhance the quality of place for Dubois County by promoting diversity, cultural education, and community cohesion, contributing to an inclusive environment for all residents.

Festival Latino-

Dubois County is strengthened by the many Latino cultures that now call this place home, and this festival is an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate them. When we uplift and share our cultures, we preserve the vibrant essence of our identities. Join us, grow stronger together!

Voces Vivas- an ongoing project dedicated to documenting and preserving the rich history of Latinos in Dubois County. Housed at the Dubois County Museum, this living exhibit amplifies the voices of a diverse community whose stories have shaped and continue to shape the region.

Dia de Muertos-

Our event features beautifully crafted ofrendas (altars), adorned with photos, candles, marigolds, and favorite foods of the departed, offering a space for remembrance and reflection.

As a family-friendly event, Día de Muertos at Jasper Arts invites community members of all backgrounds to learn about this meaningful tradition, fostering cultural appreciation and unity.

To advocate for our vision through policy engagement, community education, and strategic partnerships.
We monitor local, state, and federal immigration policies affecting the community.
We engage with policymakers, government agencies, and advocacy coalitions to influence fair and just immigration policies.

We provide workshops and informational sessions on immigration rights, legal resources, and policy changes.

We equip immigrants with tools and knowledge to self-advocate and navigate systems affecting their lives.
