We envision a Dubois County where Latino residents are fully integrated into the fabric of our community experiencing equal opportunity, visible leadership, and a shared sense of belonging.

Festival Latino is our biggest celebration of the year. And yes… we party!

Because celebration is part of our roots. The music, the food, the dancing, the smiles, the joy and love of life we carry that spirit with us.

But Festival Latino is about so much more than a party.

We do this for our community. For Dubois County. For the families building their lives here, and especially for the children growing up here.

Because growing up in a multicultural community is an advantage. Learning from one another makes us stronger. And living in a place where everyone knows they belong and everyone has the opportunity to thrive, makes our collective future brighter.

Festival Latino celebrates the Latino community members who contribute to Dubois County every single day. The people who work here, pay taxes here, raise families here, volunteer here, and are raising the next generation of little Hoosiers.

We celebrate because visibility matters.

We celebrate because culture matters.

We celebrate because belonging matters.

And sometimes, throwing a really big party is our way of saying:

You are part of this community.

You belong here.

We are here for you.

And Juntos We Stand.


FESTIVAL LATINO 2026 — BY THE NUMBERS

  • 2,800+ attendees at Market Street Park

  • 3,800+ visitors across Market Street Park + the surrounding two-block area*

  • 12 hours of celebration — 11 AM to 11 PM

  • 17 food vendors

  • 2 artisan markets

  • 3 new dishes introduced to Dubois County

  • 2 live bands and 1 DJ

  • 3 folkloric dance groups

  • 1 live salsa class

  • Afro-Latin orchestra concert with La Salsoteca

  • 58 Volunteers

  • 97°F — and our community still showed up!

  • 1 community celebrating culture, belonging & connection

Somos ALASI — Asociación Latinoamericana del Sur de Indiana.

Visualizamos un Condado de Dubois donde los residentes latinos estén plenamente integrados en nuestra comunidad, con igualdad de oportunidades, liderazgo visible y un verdadero sentido de pertenencia.

Festival Latino es nuestra celebración más grande del año.

Y sí… ¡nos encanta la fiesta!

Porque celebrar está en nuestras raíces. La música, la comida, el baile, las sonrisas, la alegría y ese amor por la vida son parte de lo que llevamos con nosotros.

Pero Festival Latino es mucho más que una fiesta.

Hacemos esto por nuestra comunidad. Por el Condado de Dubois. Por las familias que están construyendo su vida aquí y, especialmente, por los niños que están creciendo aquí.

Porque crecer en una comunidad multicultural es una ventaja. Aprender unos de otros nos hace más fuertes. Y vivir en un lugar donde todos sabemos que pertenecemos y donde todos tenemos la oportunidad de salir adelante fortalece nuestro futuro colectivo.

Festival Latino celebra a los miembros de nuestra comunidad latina que contribuyen todos los días al Condado de Dubois. A quienes trabajan aquí, pagan impuestos aquí, forman sus familias aquí, sirven a su comunidad aquí y están criando a la próxima generación de pequeños Hoosiers.

Celebramos porque ser visibles importa.

Celebramos porque nuestra cultura importa.

Celebramos porque pertenecer importa.
